Hi, I'm Kimberlin (she/her/hers)
A Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist
I live and work on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Willin Clan and Taugurung People.
For as long as I can remember, I've been deeply fascinated by the intricate mind-body connection and similarly drawn to supporting people through their struggles. This natural inclination has always guided my path, leading me toward a career dedicated to helping others.
My own lived experiences have provided deep insight into the critical role of various life stages in shaping our entire being. I've witnessed how these periods can foster incredible growth and transformation, yet also present vulnerabilities that can lead to significant impediments or mental health challenges that ripple across our mind, body, and spirit.
This personal understanding directly informs my approach and fuels my particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
They are foundational years where robust, holistic well-being is either built, or where early interventions can have the most profound and lasting positive impact on their entire life's journey.

Equipped with substantial university training and extensive hands-on experience in the mental health field, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals across the full spectrum of life. This includes specialized work with migrant communities, and a dedicated commitment to understanding the unique challenges faced by older adults, alongside children, adolescents, and young adults. My broad experience provides a comprehensive perspective on the mental health journeys that unfold across the lifespan, particularly appreciating the nuances of later life.
After years in these diverse roles, exposed to a multitude of environments and client presentations, the natural progression of my career led me to establish my own private practice - Prana Therapy Co.
My work as a therapist fills me with deep gratitude and admiration.
I'm consistently honoured and inspired by my clients' courage and resilience—not only in seeking therapy, but in choosing to work with me.
As a registered clinician, I use a combination of approaches to support you. Clients often tell me that working together feels like a conversation with a dear, trusted friend. I employ a range of therapeutic methods, always in true partnership and collaboration with you.
I recognise that the impact of trauma is often deeply shaped by our lived experiences, relationships, and the broader political and social landscapes we navigate. Underpinning all my work is a strong commitment to social justice and empowerment. My practice is fundamentally anti-oppressive, and I actively acknowledge the profound influence these societal factors have on well-being.

My Values
INTEGRITY
I believe in transparent, honest care, grounded in the latest evidence-based treatments and ethical principles, to provide you with the highest standard of genuine therapy for your well-being.
SAFETY
Feeling secure is fundamental to therapy. My practice integrates physical, emotional, and cultural safety, offering a warm and supportive space for you to process your experiences at a comfortable pace for both your mind and body.
TRUST
I deeply respect the importance of trust from our very first session. I understand that past experiences where trust was broken can make it incredibly difficult to open up again. My authentic and clear approach is designed to gently facilitate its rebuilding within our therapeutic relationship.
AUTONOMY
You are the expert in your own life, and therapy reflects that. You lead the way, setting the pace and focus of our sessions, while I offer support and guidance. Your boundaries are paramount.
CULTIVATION OF EQUITY
Recognising the importance of my own growth, I am committed to continuous learning and self-reflection about my biases, power, and privilege. This is fundamental to my culturally responsive and anti-oppressive practice, ensuring I honour your cultural beliefs, values, and experiences within your individual and collective narratives.
